Cost data and accuracy
Cost data on this site is aggregated from multiple sources including HomeGuide, Homewyse, Fixr, RSMeans, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) wage data, and contractor pricing references. Numbers are estimates - they are not bids, quotes, or guaranteed prices. Actual project costs vary by location, scope, contractor, materials chosen, site conditions, and time of year.
We make every effort to keep numbers accurate and current, but make no guarantees of completeness, accuracy, or timeliness. Cost data is reviewed at least once per year and last-updated dates are shown on each guide. See our methodology for how we research and reconcile costs.
Not professional advice
Nothing on Cost to Renovate constitutes financial, legal, construction, or engineering advice. Calculator outputs, cost ranges, ROI estimates, and regional adjustments are illustrative and should not be the sole basis for any spending or contracting decision. Always get written quotes from licensed contractors and consult qualified professionals (financial advisors, structural engineers, permit officials) where appropriate before starting work.

Use of the site is at your own risk. We are not affiliated with any contractor, retailer, or financial services provider mentioned on the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
