What we collect

Cost to Renovate (“we”) collects information you give us directly, and a limited set of technical data automatically when you browse the site.

• Contractor match form: name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, project type, timeline, and budget range.
• Newsletter signup: email address only.
• Automatic: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL (via standard web analytics).

Who we share it with

When you submit the contractor match form, we share the information you provide with up to 3 vetted local contractors who handle the type of project you described in the ZIP code area you provided. These contractors use your information to contact you about a quote. We do not sell your information to general-purpose data brokers or lead aggregators.

We use third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and transactional email services to operate the site. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

Contractor match submissions are retained for 24 months so we can follow up on project outcomes and improve the service. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs and analytics data are typically retained for 14 months.

Your choices

• Opt out / delete: email privacy@costtorenovate.com from the address you submitted and we will delete your record within 30 days.
• Unsubscribe from email: use the link at the bottom of any newsletter.
• Do not share with contractors: contact us at the address above and we will flag your record so it is not forwarded.
